Set up online ordering for your café in an afternoon

You do not need a web designer or a month of free time to take orders online. If you can list your menu and find your opening hours, you can have a real ordering website live in an afternoon. Here is the order to do things in.

1. Create your account and answer a few questions

Sign up with your email and a password. A short setup asks for your name, the kind of place you run, its name and where it is. From that, Awwranges builds a working website for you, with a free web address, so you are never starting from a blank page.

2. Add your menu

This is the part that takes the longest, so do it while you have a quiet hour. Create your categories first, such as Coffee, Breakfast and Pastries, then add items with a name, a price and a short description.

  • Keep item names short and clear. Customers scan, they do not read.
  • Add a photo to your best sellers first. A good photo helps people choose.
  • Use customizations for choices like milk type or extras, so orders arrive complete.
Tip: You can drag your categories into any order on the Layout page, so the things you most want to sell appear first.

3. Set your hours and prep times

Tell Awwranges when you are open and how long pickup and delivery usually take. Customers can only choose times inside your opening hours, and the prep time stops people ordering for a moment you cannot meet.

4. Connect payments

To take card payments online, connect your Square account from the Integrations page. If you do not connect Square, customers can still order and pay at the counter.

5. Offer delivery if you want it

If you want delivery, you can connect Uber Direct, which sends a courier to your customer. It is optional. Plenty of cafés start with pickup only and add delivery later.

6. Publish and place a test order

Publish your site, then order something yourself, from your phone, the way a customer would. Check the price, the pickup time and the confirmation. Cancel or refund the test order afterwards.

Note: Your 14-day free trial starts when you finish setup, so do the quick parts first and come back for the photos.

7. Tell people

Put the link where your customers already are: your Instagram bio, your Google business profile, a sticker by the till and a line on your receipts. The best first orders usually come from your regulars.

If you get stuck at any step, the Help Center in your portal walks through each one, and you can message our team from the chat in the corner of your portal.
