Who should have access to your café's portal

At first the portal is just you. Then you hire a manager, or a friend offers to update the menu, and you wonder how to let them in without sharing your own login. Do not share your password. Invite them instead.

Invite people from the Team page

The owner can invite teammates by email from the Team page under Account. Each person gets their own login, so you can see who is who and remove access later without changing anything else.

Pick the right role

  • Editor: can update the menu, website and orders. Billing, integrations, your domain and the team stay with you.
  • Viewer: can look at the menu, orders and analytics, but cannot change anything.

Give people the lowest role that lets them do their job. A shift lead who marks items sold out needs Editor. An accountant who only reads the numbers needs Viewer.

Know the limit

Your account has five seats in total, and you, the owner, count as one of them. An invitation that has not been accepted yet also counts, so remove old ones you no longer need.

Review who has access

Every few months, open the Team page and check the list. If someone has left, remove them straight away. If someone needs more or less access, change their role.

Tip: If you are away, invite a trusted person as an Editor rather than sharing your own login. You keep control of billing and can remove them whenever you like.

Keep the owner login safe

Use a strong password for your own account and do not reuse it elsewhere. Billing, your domain and your team all sit behind that one login.

Take orders on your own website.

Your menu, your customers, no commission on orders.
